Orkney, ‘not just a lot of old stones‘. A talk by Janet Briggs.

My talk is based on my recent visit to Orkney. It mainly concentrates on Orkney during WW2. Two projects were undertaken, almost simultaneously. One, an enormous feat of engineering, the other a beautifulcreation that bears witness to human ingenuity, hope and the need for spiritual solace.

We usually meet on the first Thursday of the month at 2.00pm. After a short Devotional Time we have a different topic or activity each month.
